Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
If using frozen corn, simply measure out 4 cups—there is no need to thaw it first.

If using fresh corn, stand each ear upright and carefully slice downward with a sharp knife to remove the kernels.

Step 2: Melt the Butter
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Allow it to foam slightly without browning.

Step 3: Add the Corn and Honey
Add the corn to the skillet and stir until coated with the melted butter. Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.

Stir in the honey and continue mixing until the butter and honey form a glossy coating over the corn.

Step 4: Add the Cream Cheese
Add the cubed cream cheese and stir constantly until completely melted into a smooth, creamy sauce, about 2–3 minutes.

If using heavy cream instead of cream cheese, pour it into the skillet and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 5: Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in smoked paprika if using.

Transfer the skillet corn to a serving dish and garnish with fresh chives or parsley. Serve immediately while warm.

Tips for the Best Skillet Corn
Don’t overcook the corn—frozen corn only needs to be heated through.
Use full-fat cream cheese for the smoothest texture.
Stir continuously while melting the cream cheese to prevent lumps.
Taste before serving and adjust the seasoning if needed.
If the sauce becomes too thick, stir in a splash of milk or cream.
This dish can be prepared ahead and gently reheated with a little milk or cream if needed.
Once you’ve mastered the classic version, try these flavorful twists to make the recipe uniquely your own.
